I bet that one time, you decided that you don’t really like who you are. You might have decided that your hair is too frizzy or that you’re too short. You want to be anybody but yourself, so you look around, or maybe look at someone in the open who you think is much cooler or prettier than you are. You decided that you were going to be just like that person. You walk, talk, dress, eat, laugh as much as them as you can. You do a perfect imitation but that’s all it is. An imitation. All the things you use to love, all the things that used to make you laugh, your favorite food, your favorite sports. All those disappear. You lose your personality and borrow someone else’s. Then you become someone else entirely. Someone you don’t know. You don’t know who you are anymore.
